I agree with Bushcraf, you do make it look easy.

I used to work at a shop and sometimes I would have to run a drill press all day. Talk about carpal tunnel syndrome.

@JOHNNYH8STHENWO YA I LIKE SYLVIA,

MY FAVORITE NEWS CHANNEL. I WISHED I HAD THE EDITING SKILLS AND SOFTWARE ON THAT CHANNEL.

MY WRIST FEEL THE STRAIN OF YEARS OF HARSH WORK. REPETITIVE MOVES MAKES THEM WEAR OUT FAST. I USED TO SQUEEZE A HAND RIVITER ALL DAY IN A SIGN COMPANY. THE NEXT MORNING I WOULD STILL FEEL THE ACHE. AND I WOULD THINK OF 10 MORE HOURS OF THAT. I STARTED USING 2 HANDS AND MY ARMS INSTEAD OF SQUEEZING. UNTIL MY CHEST GOT SORE. LOL. X(

can i still copy your stator and dual rotor design if i have a 10' prop and 12'' rotor discs, thanks muddy,
thesokable 3 weeks ago 2

@thesokable ten foot prop and 12 inch disk will use the plans i converted from in the part 2 video. i'm sure it will work wonderfully. tested and proven by people 15 mile from the nearest grid. lol.

thanks.

Looks like a good start. I've watched a few utube vids on making a stator, but I don't completely understand them. Number of winds, wire gauge, magnets, I get lost trying to figure out how many watts they're supposed to make.

Also, I think you should make a VAWT. They have certain drawbacks, but it seems they're more acceptable in suburban neighborhoods.
jwwm2 3 weeks ago 2

@jwwm2 THANKS, I BELIEVE SUBURBAN AREAS ARE MORE LIKELY TO ACCEPT A VAWT THAN A HAWT. THEY ARE A LITTLE QUIETER AS WELL AND MORE APPEALING TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD EYES. AS FOR ME I LOVE SEEING THE HAWT. THE VAWTS' ARE GREAT IN LOW HEIGHT MOUNTING. LESS POWER FOR THE SIZE, BUT IT DOES HAVE LOW WIND STARTUP , AND RUNS ON TURBULANT WINDS PRETTY WELL.

THE COILS AND NUMBER OF WINDINGS WITH THE MAGNETS CAN BE PRETTY CONFUSING TO MOST. SEARCHING OUT TESTED AND PROVEN SYSTEMS OR PLANS IS A GOOD IDEA.

Thats great! Even I understand this! Thanks or the super easy way my friend!

@SurvivalWithBushcraf THANKS, I HAVE VERY LITTLE TIME LATELY, BUT I AM VERY GLAD TO PUT THEM OUT WHEN I GET THE CHANCE. SOME MORE VIDEO IS IN THE EDITING STAGE RIGHT NOW. THE NEXT VIDEO COMPLETES THE WINDER. THEN WE GET TO WIND COILS AND CAST THE STATOR. I CANT WAIT.

THANKS SYLVIA

SEE START TO START , FIN TO FIN, START TO START, FIN - FIN..... THIS IS LIKE DELTA WIRING IT SEEMS INSTEAD OF STAR. THIS IS USUALLY HALF VOLTAGE AND 2X AMPERAGE. BUT I THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE START TO FIN, START TO FIN,.... FOR DELTA . OR PENTAGONAL IN THIS CASE. I WISHED I HAD AN HOUR TO PLAY WITH IT THERE. I WILL SEND YOU SOME DELTA FORMULAS. I DONT HAVE ANY 5 PHASE FORMULAS FOR YOU.

scott, it has been fun trying to figure the best connection in 5 phase.

i am sure you could make it work if you were here.

i am waiting for the bridge rectifiers to see if they orient me in the right direction.

the best i got from it is 13VDC @220rpm

it produced 6 watt and consumed 16watt to make them.

@electrodacus, I tested both the 24 and 36 and the 24 magnets had better result. check the 24 vs 36 video.

thanks

@electrodacus I see you used the 32 magnets not 24 as in schematic this is fine.

Also your results are normal is what you need to get.
electrodacus 3 months ago

Do you have a schematic of what you did there the position of the magnets and the coils?

Is better to start with a smaller prototype if you want to learn.

Building your own generator is not economical. A better alternative is to buy an AC servo motor from eBay they use powerful neodymium magnets and are brushless 3 phase AC and are great as generators see my video with one of them they are much less expensive to purchase than to build one.

@emagnets Just need a cheap webcam and ustream to live stream it.

@emagnets IF I REMEMBER THE MACHINE EFFICIENCY AVERAGE IS .35. AS PER OTHER POWER DOT COM. BUT THAT IS AVERAGE. 44% IS COOL. LETS HOPE FOR BETTER.
